Q: What’s the difference between particle, viral, and bacterial filtration?

Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) measures how well a material filters tiny airborne particles, typically around 0.3 microns (PM0.3). This is the standard used for N95, P2, and KN95 certifications. Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) measures how effectively a material filters virus-sized particles, typically around 0.1–0.3 microns.
